Enriching young lives through music

Music making has the power to transform lives. It can help children and young people to develop skills, build self-confidence, boost self-esteem, uncover a talent and discover a brighter future.

Youth Music is the UK’s largest children’s music charity, providing free access to high quality music-making projects for children who wouldn’t normally get the chance to take part in music making, including some of the UK’s most disadvantaged young people. Youth Music’s work is for children right up to the age of 18, it takes place primarily outside of school hours and covers a wide range of music genres and styles, from Rock & Pop and DJ-ing to classical, jazz, gospel and non-western music.

Since 1999, Youth Music has reached over 2 million children and young people, encouraging their talents, building their confidence and transforming the landscape of musical opportunity throughout the UK. Yet, so many more children and young people still do not have the chance to access and benefit from music making opportunities.

The funds that you raise for Youth Music will enable MORE disadvantaged and vulnerable children and young people to access and benefit from music-making opportunities. Music-making can be a catalyst for change – your support can help make that happen.
